Dr. Anil Khurana
M.D. (Homoeopathy) has been appointed as the Chairman, National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India which is the highest policy making body for maintaining a high quality and high standards in education, practice and research of Homoeopathy and make necessary regulations in this regard.
Formerly, he has been Director General of Central Council for Research Homoeopathy, an apex research organization under Ministry of AYUSH for conducting research in Homoeopathy.
Prior to this he was the Chairman, Board of Governor, Central Council of Homoeopathy, the erstwhile regulatory Council for the education and practice of Homoeopathy in India; wherein he was instrumental for bringing reforms in quality education in Homoeopathy and practice standards.
Dr Khurana has vast research experience spanning over 34 years including 2 years as Director General, 3 years as Deputy Director General, 2 years as Deputy Director (Homoeopathy), 6 years as Assistant Director (Homoeopathy), 12 years as Research Officer, 1 year as Officer on Special Duty, Department of AYUSH, 8 years as Assistant Research Officer/Research Assistant (Homoeopathy) in Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy.
Dr Khurana completed his graduation in 1985 from Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi. He did his MD (Homoeopathy) from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He has undertaken Post-Doctoral Fellowship in HIV-AIDS from University of California, Los Angeles, US in 2002. In 2011 he was a recipient of WHO Fellowship on HIV/AIDS and Home Care. He has also acquired qualification of Bioethicist from ICMR-IGNOU (joint course).
Dr Khurana has about 100 research publications in various national and international peer-reviewed journals to his credits in all areas of homoeopathic research i.e. clinical research, basic research, fundamental research, drug standardization, clinical verification, drug proving, surveys, etc. He has presented more than 80 research papers aiming to spread the spirit of evidence-based medicine and encourage research in Homoeopathic science globally.
He coordinated and designed fundamental research studies on Homoeopathy to identify action of high dilution homoeopathic medicines in association with basic scientists including physicists, chemists, geneticist, virologist, microbiologists, pharmacologists, etc.
He played an instrumental role in the National Campaign on Homoeopathy for Mother and Child Care conducted by the then Department of AYUSH from 2007 to 2012. He developed and conducted public health programs on research mode providing benefit to more than 15 lakh people with homoeopathic treatments.
He has been an active contributor to more than 50 books of the CCRH. He has contributed in the Good Clinical Practices Guidelines for Clinical Trials in Homoeopathy which is a comprehensive set of minimum standards for undertaking clinical, public health, social and behavioral research with homoeopathic medicines. He has also developed various training manuals for homoeopathic practitioners, drug monographs and disease monographs. He has been an active contributor in the development of Standard Treatment Guidelines for homoeopathic practitioners.
In 2020, under his leadership CCRH conducted more than 15 research studies on role of Homoeopathy in prevention of COVID – 19 infection and its treatment in various population settings.
An internationally acclaimed personality in homoeopathic fraternity, Dr. Khurana is a recipient of various awards including Lifetime Achievement award from Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Delhi. He was also awarded for his significant service in Alternative Systems of Medicine by Organizing Committee of International Conference on Multidisciplinary Healthcare AIIMS -2014.
He is well known for his academic, administrative and social involvement for the development of Homoeopathy.

D.(H) has been appointed as Director General, Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), under Ministry of AYUSH with effect from 16th February 2022. He is one of the most highly qualified Physician, Scientist and experienced personality among the Research Councils under Ministry of AYUSH. He is quite young and have further opportunity to succeed better and higher positions.
Apart from the qualifications quoted above, he has succeeded many other short-term certificate courses on various subjects which will add more quality and quantity of work to which he has been assigned the portfolio. Prior to joining, he was Hospital in-charge of Dr. D. P. Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Noida.
Besides, Chief Public Information Officer, Chairman Central Purchase Committee, In-charge of EM Scheme of AYUSH, Hindi Sampark Adhikari - Hindi Rajbhasha &Transla tion, In-charge of Pharmaco vigilance in Homoeopathy, Scientific and Technological (S&T) activities of CCRH, In -charge of North - East States.
Also worked as Medical Inspector & member of Hearing Committee of different Medical Colleges. He was also member of different Committees for Recruitment of Research Officer (H), Technical and Non Technical posts. He had 53 publications in National and International Journals, at the time of joining as DG. Attended more than 200 Trainings/Workshop/Seminars. Organized more than 25 Training Workshops. He will be an asset to CCRH & Ministry of AYUSH as well.
He is very sympathetic, friendly, impartial and strict in observing rules and regulations of the department being the head of Organization.
He is also Member Secretary of the Governing Body of the Council in which Hon'ble Cabinet Minister is President, whereas Hon'ble Minister of State & Secretary AYUSH are vice-Presidents.
He is very positive to consider the grievances of employees and pensioners of the Council within the rules and Justice permits.

CCRHPWA General body meeting 2022-23.
Dear Members of CCRHPWA,
It has been proposed to hold 9th Governing Body /Annual General Body meeting and election of new Director Board of CCRH Pensioners Welfare Association (CCRHPWA) in January/February 2022. Accordingly, it was proposed by the Executive Committee to decide the venue in consultation with the members through WhatsApp group of the CCRHPWA and it was published on 07.11.2021. Four places were suggested which are Chennai/Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur & Pondicherry. In order to get the feedback and to finalize the venue, members are requested to intimate their choice place out of four above along with the consent of participation in the meeting. CCRHPWA will pay Train fare to & fro in 2nd AC, if senior citizen concession is permissible, otherwise 3rd AC . Lodging facilities, if required they need to intimate well in advance . As far as possible association/organizing committee will bear the lodging charges within the availability. The venue will be finalized on the basis of majority of choice place suggested by the members. Today (13.5.2018) an extra ordinary meeting of CCRHPWA among the Delhi based EC Members was held in Delhi at 6.00 pm under the Chairmanship of Dr. Hari Singh. Dr. V. A. Siddiqui, Sh. Surat Singh Vice-Presidents, Sh. Triloki Nath Chaturvedi Joint Secretary, Sh. S. S. Bhutani EC Member, Dr. Anita Sharma, Sh. Jaikumar, Sh. Tarsem Singh, Auditor and General Secretary were present. During the meeting it has been decided to meet DG CCRH, Secretary AYUSH and Financial Advisor to Govt of India by a team of association headed by Dr. Hari Singh, President to express our concern over the delay of extention of 7th CPC and to issue aporopriate orders for early implementation of 7th CPC to pre 2016 pensioners. Various decision for the welfare of pensioners and family pensioners have also been considered and which will intimate separately. A few of photographs of the event is posted below.

We remember the respective legend who had contributed a lot for the development and existence of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy in our nation which globally recognised.
K. M. Mariamma, Ex -Aya and an active member of CCRH Pensioners welfare association has been passed away on 22.4.2018. She had been working with Erstwhile CCRIMH since 1.4.1974 at Central Research Institute for Homoeopathy, since National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health, Kottayam and retired from CCRH service on superannuation on 31.5.2006. She was very sincere and honest while working all along with the Council. She was very kind enough to manage mental patients and dispensing medicines. She had been through knowledge in many activities in Occupational therapy unit of the Institute since 1974 till her superannuation retirement. I personally and on behalf of the members of ccrhpwa expressed our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May her soul rest in peace.

K. M. Mariamma Who was working with Erstwhile CCRIMH and CCRH since 1.4.1974 expired on 22nd April 2018 following Cancer. She was an active member of CCRH Pensioners welfare association since its constitution on 29.9.2015. She was honoured by the delegates members of ccrhpwa at her residrnce on 7th April 2018 during the all india conference and general body meeting of CCRHPWA held at Kottayam on 7th April. She was so happy with the auspicious occasion. May her soul rest in peace.

Dr. N. R. Dey, who passed away on 12th January 2018 at Kolkata following a prolonged neurological ailments, was one of the the senior scientists working with CCRH, under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India. He worked many places like Kolkata, Guwahati, Agartala, Kottayam. As a Homoeopathy Doctor he was well known and had a large number of patients where ever he served under the Council. His departure will be a great lose to his entire family and patients to a great extent. He was 66. He survives his wife Son and daughter. I on behalf of the members of ccrhpwa and pensioners of CCRH in whole convey our deep and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace.

Naidu and Sh. Jwalachary are members. It is also decided to bear 3rd AC to and from rail fare to the participant pensioners out of association special fund to which we are in active process. We would like to submit the following information in the light of decision taken at the all India conference and general body meeting of CCRH Pensioners held at Delhi on 17th March 2016 and subsequent executive committee meeting held at Kottayam on 27th July 2016.
1. To link the website of Pensioners Association “www.aiccrhpwa.weebly. com “with the CCRH website. (Since it was uploaded with a plenty of information about employees, peripherals, pensioners, senior Homoeopaths and scientists across the country, back ground of erstwhile CCRIMH and photo galleries etc. This will boost the CCRH across the world while viewing CCRH website).
2. To permit the association and its office bearers to hold its periodical meeting at the premises of CCRH Institutions where sufficient facilities are available and also to allot its guest house for the pensioners those who attend within the state and far from other states for a day or two.
3. To add the registered address of Pensions association in the council’s mailing list and to send periodicals journals and CCRH news letter enable to circulate the important achievements of CCRH among the pensioners and family pensioners.
4. To consider the services of Retired Senior Scientists at the major Institutions under CCRH as Consultant/ Physician on visiting/ monthly basis who can do an important role in the ongoing research work and further course of technical development.

(Since it was uploaded with a plenty of information about employees, peripherals, pensioners, senior Homoeopaths and scientists across the country, back ground of erstwhile CCRIMH and photo galleries etc. This will boost the CCRH across the world while viewing CCRH website).
2. To permit the association and its office bearers to hold its periodical meeting at the premises of CCRH Institutions where sufficient facilities are available and also to allot its guest house for the pensioners those who attend within the state and far from other states for a day or two.
3. To add the registered address of Pensions association in the council’s mailing list and to send periodicals journals and CCRH news letter enable to circulate the important achievements of CCRH among the pensioners and family pensioners.
4. To consider the services of Retired Senior Scientists at the major Institutions under CCRH as Consultant/ Physician on visiting/ monthly basis who can do an important role in the ongoing research work and further course of technical development.

Singh, former Assistant Director (H)/Scientist- 4 has passed away on 18th September 2016 at 11.30 am at his residence at Vikaspuri, New Delhi. He was hospitalized for the last few months following an attack of stroke/brain hemorrhage. He was 69. Dr. V.P. Singh was initially appointed as Research Assistant (Homoeo) by the erstwhile CCRIMH in the year 1972 and posted at Belgaum in Karnataka state. He was a very hard worker and his vast technical knowledge and contribution are remarkably noted for the organisational development of CCRH. While he was posted at the Hqrs of CCRH, New Delhi, he developed a very good research laboratory exclusively for the research and treatment for AIDS. He was also acted as Director in Charge of CCRH for a few days. A long period he hold the assignment as Chief Vigilance Officer of the Council.
We express our deep condolences to the bereaved family members. May the departed soul rest in peace. He survived wife (Dr. Krishna Singh) two children and grandchildren.

The annual subscription of members have been categorized in to division i.e. Rs.1000/- for all members retired from the level of Group A &B, Rs. 600/- for other members retired from the level of group C& D. This will come in force with effect from 01.04.2016. Those who have already paid/remitted at higher rate, the excess amount whatsoever will be adjusted in the subsequent year or month as the case may be.
2. The Number of members of the Executive Committee enhanced from 09 to 11.
3 . Two special committees have been introduced i.e. (i) Editorial Board & (ii) Pensioners Grievance Cell.

CONDOLENCE
It is very sad to inform to all our friends and pensioners of the CCRH that our Senior most Pensioner of the Council, Dr. M.S. Pramanik former Deputy Director (H) in Hqrs of CCRH passes away on 21st April 2016 at Mayur Vihar, New Delhi. He was 85. He worked in CRIH Kolkata, CRIH Kottayam, RRIH New Delhi, CCRH Hqrs at Ghaziabad, CCRH Hqrs at New Delhi, DPRU, Ghaziabad etc. He had been joined in erstwhile CCRIMH during the year 1972 as Senior Research Officer. Prior to that he was working in CGHS as Senior Homoeopathy Physician . He was a very good Homoeopathic Physician and reputed Scientist in the field of Homoeopathy. I had been a very good opportunities to work with him while we worked together in RRIH New Delhi, CRIH Kottayam and CCRH qrs at Delhi etc. May his soul rest in peace. I personally and on behalf of the Members of the Pensioners of CCRH conveyed my heart felted condolences to his bereaved family. He survives with one son and daughter namely Sanjay Pramanik (00 91 9811725589) and Swati Pramanik.

AN APPEAL
It has been observed that a major strength of pensioners of CCRH, specially family pensioners and pensioners from the categories of Group D residing rural and remote localities of other states are totally ignorant about their entitlement of certain benefits from the Council and Government as well. INAUGURATION OF ALL INDIA CONFERENCE AND GENERAL BODY MEETING OF CCRH PENSIONERS WELFARE ASSOCIATION
HELD AT NEW DELHI ON 17TH MARCH 2016.

It is pleasure to announce that the first all India Conference and General body meeting of CCRH Pensioners Welfare Association (Regd) held at New Delhi on 17th March 2016 under the Chairmanship of Dr. E.C. Thomas, President of the association. The function has been inaugurated by Dr. Raj Kumar Manchanda, Director General, CCRH by lighting lamp. Dr. Manchanda, Director General has also switched on the website of the association www.aiccrhpwa.weebly.com. Shri M.S.P. Panicker, General Secretary welcomed Chief Guests and all other delegates and participants following a speech about the formation of association and creation of association web site. Dr. Anil Khurana , Deputy Director General, CCRH had attended the function as Guest of Honour. The Director General and Deputy Director General have delivered attractive speeches and appreciated the efforts made by the members for forming and creating website for association. They also promised that the pensioners problems will consider on priority basis and Council needs the support of senior pensioners and senior scientist for the developmental activities of the Council's Institutions. Dr. Goutan Rakhit, Head of Office of CCRH Hqrs, New Delhi had also attended the function.

It is pleasure to announce that the first all India Conference and General body meeting of CCRH Pensioners Welfare Association (Regd) held at New Delhi on 17th March 2016 under the Chairmanship of Dr. E.C. Thomas, President of the association. The function has been inaugurated by Dr. Raj Kumar Manchanda, Director General, CCRH by lighting lamp. Dr. Manchanda, Director General has also switched on the website of the association www.aiccrhpwa.weebly.com. Shri M.S.P. Panicker, General Secretary welcomed Chief Guests and all other delegates and participants following a speech about the formation of association and creation of association web site. Dr. Anil Khurana , Deputy Director General, CCRH had attended the function as Guest of Honour. The Director General and Deputy Director General have delivered attractive speeches and appreciated the efforts made by the members for forming and creating website for association. They also promised that the pensioners problems will consider on priority basis and Council needs the support of senior pensioners and senior scientist for the developmental activities of the Council's Institutions. Dr. Goutan Rakhit, Head of Office of CCRH Hqrs, New Delhi had also attended the function.

All the Pensioners and family pensioners of CCRH might be knowing that they are eligible for Fixed Medical Allowance (FMA) @ Rs.300/- (Rupees three hundred only) per month, which is likely be enhanced to Rs.500/- to which our association is taking efforts with the higher authorities. Normally, the Council used to inform the same at the time of retirement and it is necessary to submit an undertaking and application by the pensioners in the prescribed format. This allowance is entitled only those pensioners /family pensioners where the area they lives or settled after retirement are not covered under CGHS facility. The Pensioners coming under the provision are requested to submit the application and undertaking immediately, if not submitted so far.

Mr. B.R. Bhakari, Ex.Assistant Director (Admn) & Head of office of Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy under Ministry of AYUSH Govt. of India while staying with his Son in Bangalore died on 20.12.2015 following an illness. He was under treatment in Bangalore for sometime. The cremation will be taking place in Bangalore today on 21.12.2015. Mr. Bhakari was the first Assistant Director (Admn) of the Council and had maintained a very good relation with the officers and subordinates. We lost a very good administrator and loving friend. May the departed soul rest in heavenly abode. our deep condolence to his bereaved family.

It may be mentioned that certain corrections have been made today and further editions, if necessary, will be done on the receipt of reference from our members. It is pleasure to notify that a good number of our members have remitted their entrance fee and annual subscription to our bank account. Individual receipt will be issued to all the concerned shortly. The members are requested to mention their name while making money transfer through net banking which is mandatory for accounting purpose and issue of receipt thereof. As stated in our previous news & events caption, the name of our beloved members those who remitted yearly & half yearly subscription will be published shortly for reference . Due to constant net work problems, certain editions could not not be taken place in time and which in process. Many members have been informed over telephone and through SMS about the bank account No., IFS code and Name of Bank etc enable them to remit the dues as early as possible. Kindly update their dues at the earliest.

I have been thinking to create and publish a quarterly or half yearly bulletin,in the name of CCRHPWA, in which various events of AYUSH and CCRH, including health awareness to the viewers in various illness and advise to the patients should also be incorporated. It is further to desire that the photos and a brief text of the each our members be published in the bulletin.. A separate title under" Our Scientists " who have served in the Council in various position in different parts of the country will obviously boost our viewers, is also proposed. Therefore, suggestions from the members and pensioners of CCRH are invited with their valuable remarks and opinion which may be sent by mail to [email protected] or [email protected]. The Central Council for Research in Ayurveda Sciences Pensioners Welfare Association also ready to affiliate with our Association, which may be taken up at a later stage.

The meeting of the Executive Committee of CCRHPWA held on 26.11.2015 at 1.00 pm in the committee hall of CRIH, Kottayam. It has been decided to send communication to Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India under intimation to Director General for considering the recognition of the Association. Various other issues were discussed and authorized to the General Secretary to act accordingly. The committee expressed thanks to the members who have released subscription yearly basis. The members those who yet to remit the entrance fee and subscription are requested to come forward and do the needful. It has also been decided in the meeting that the next annual general body meeting of the association be held in Delhi to which notification will be published separately.

It is hereby remind to all the pensioners and family pensioners of the CCRH that they should submit their life certificate duly certified & countersigned by the Manager of the respective Bank from where they are drawing their monthly pension and submit to the Accounts Officer of the Council by speed post latest by 20th November 2015. During my recent visit in Delhi, a few of members / pensioners concerns to be a member representative of executive committee. It was informed that the present committee is nominated on ad hoc basis only in order to apply for registration. As per bye-law every year a general body meeting be scheduled in which an executive committee be selected by voting. As such new bearers will come in force. To discuss this further a executive committee be held shortly with the approval of President. All may kindly note it and revert with views.

During my recent in Delhi, a few of our pensioners asked me their concern to become representative in the executive committee of the association .. it was informed them that the present executive committee is purely an ad hoc committe nominated in order to apply for registration. As per bye law, a general body meeting may be scheduled in Delhi positively in the month of Feb-Mar 2016 and in which a new executive committees be appointed including representatives from other states too, till such time office will function with the present commit. it is therefore, Ex. meeting be held in this month. time and date me be decided in consultation with President and other members.

It is further to inform that in case any pensioners so far not received their Pensioner ID card, they should apply through the prescribed format to DG, CCRH, New Delhi. Medicl reimbursement facilities are also applicable to the Pensioners and they should avail the use of the same as per rules in force. Any doubt in this regard may be intimated for further guidance.

It has been decided in the executive committee meeting held on 27.10.2015 to open a Saving Bank account for the association with Federal Bank, Chingavanam, Kottayam, Kerala and the account will be operated jointly by General Secretary & Treasurer by exercising the provision as laid down in the bye laws under item No.17 (a&b) . As such, it is requested to all the members, those have not remitted their entrance fee and monthly subscription due from September 2015, to send DD/account payee cheque drawn in favour of CCRHPWA at the earliest possible. The meeting will be held in the Conference hall of Central Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Sachivothamapuram PO, Kurichy, Kottayam. The main Agenda of the meeting is to constitute an ad hoc executive committee and approve the bye law of the association and observe other course of action.
